Hathor is an ancient Egyptian goddess who was worshiped as a celestial cow-deity. Originally a personification of the Milky Way (which was considered to be the milk that flowed from the udders of the heavenly cow), she was associated with Aphrodite in ancient Greece and with Venus in Rome. Known by many epithets, her identification as the “Eye of Ra” can be understood when viewed through the lens of Electric Universe cosmology, as the planet-comet Venus once formed the central eye of the ancient sun-god Saturn. Her defensive horns symbolize the protection of the heliospheric plasma sheath. Hathor symbolizes the divine mother; she was a goddess of art and her cult was led by priests who were also dancers, singers, artists, oracles and midwives. When she is venerated through these arts, she will return in time, to nurse and nourish all who pay her homage.
This painting was created using planetary metals – lead for Saturn, iron for Mars, copper for Venus, and gold for Sun – and hand-refined, sun-thickened oils.
