A snowflake is a single ice crystal which falls through the Earth's atmosphere as snow.
Each flake nucleates around a dust particle (mineral or organic) by attracting cloud water droplets, which freeze in hexagonal crystal form.
Although snowflakes are never perfectly symmetrical, the growth of a snowflake often approximates six-fold radial symmetry, arising from the hexagonal crystalline structure of ice.
Glue Chip is a patterned glass created by sandblasting clear glass and then pouring hot animal hide glue on the surface and allowing it to dry. The glue then naturally chips away, creating a surface texture resembling a fern or feather-like pattern.
